Minna de Yacht
Privacy Policy
This page explains how user information is handled in Minna de Yacht (the “App”).
1. Summary
The App neither collects nor transmits any user information. We operate no servers, and matches never use the internet. All settings are stored only on your own device.
Only in-app purchases (the full version) are processed by Google Play and the App Store. Payment details are handled by those stores; we never receive them.
2. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following only on your own device. None of it is ever sent to us.
| What is stored | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Your username (if you set one) | To show your name at the table |
| A per-device identifier (a randomly generated value) | To return you to the same seat if the connection drops |
| Whether the full version was purchased (yes / no only) | To enable the features you purchased |
| How many tables you have hosted for free | To count how many free plays remain |
All of this is deleted when you uninstall the App. The per-device identifier is a random value the App generates locally; it has no relation to advertising IDs or hardware device IDs. It cannot be used by other apps or by third parties to track you.
3. Communication with nearby devices
Only when you choose “play with friends over Bluetooth” does the App communicate directly with nearby devices over Bluetooth Low Energy. In that case, the only data sent to the others at your table is what the match itself requires:
- Your username, if you set one (nothing is sent if you did not)
- The per-device identifier described above (to restore your seat)
- Information about the progress of that match, such as dice rolls, the score sheet and whose turn it is
This is direct device-to-device communication. It does not pass through our servers or any third-party server, and its contents are never recorded or stored.
4. Permissions
| Permission | When it is used |
|---|---|
| Bluetooth (scan / advertise / connect) | To play with nearby devices |
| Location (Android 11 and below only) | Not used to determine your location. On Android 11 and below, the operating system requires this permission in order to discover Bluetooth devices, which is the only reason it is declared. It is not declared on Android 12 and above |
| In-app purchases (billing) | To purchase and restore the full version |
| Internet access and network state | Not used for matches. Required by the store’s own purchasing mechanism |
5. Advertising and analytics
Neither is built into the App. No advertising SDK and no analytics SDK are used.
6. In-app purchases
There is a “full version” available as a one-time purchase. For free, you can play solo, join a friend’s table, and host up to three matches with friends. From the fourth onwards, hosting your own table requires the purchase. When playing with friends, only the host needs to buy it; everyone joining plays for free.
Purchases use only the Google Play and App Store mechanisms. The transaction is carried out by those stores, and we receive no information that could identify the purchaser. Only whether a purchase was made remains on the device. Handling of information by the stores themselves is governed by their respective privacy policies.
7. Disclosure to third parties
We do not provide user information to third parties. We do not receive any user information in the first place.
8. Use by children
The App is not directed at any particular age group. Because it does not collect user information, no personal information is collected when children use it either.
9. Changes to this policy
If the content changes, we will update this page.
